Although it’s late March the temperature outside is in the twenties and snow is in the forecast as I write this article. This has been a winter to remember (or forget). I’m sure we all look forward to a long break from the cold. We know it is coming, but not exactly when. That’s the thing about the future, it is so unpredictable.

Though we cannot say for certain what the weather will be like not long from now, Jesus took out the guess work of eternity when He rose from the grave. That event sealed forever the future of every man, woman and child who confess with their mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in their heart that God raised Him from the dead, . . . . (Romans 10:9) Tomorrow may be a mystery, but all the tomorrows of those saved by Jesus Christ are, in a sense, history.

Christ-follower . . . Easter reminds us of the invaluable gift God gave us in His one and only Son. (John 3:16) For there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12) May your Resurrection Week be filled with celebration, ceremony and the certainty of heaven and eternal life.

I’m excited to share about a wonderful opportunity for kids this summer. The week of July 13-18, PBC will host a performing arts camp for kids (2nd – 8th grade that finished grades 1-7). We have partnered with Lamplight Artists, a ministry led by former PBC Worship Leader, Del Morgan. The All About Kids Productions Camp is a high energy, Bible-centered performing arts day camp. I believe it could be a quality addition to our tutoring ministry at Brookline Elementary School. A one-week camp for our church’s kids, those from our church plant partners and others from the community would serve as a positive influence for Christ and advance our desire to engage families in Brookline, Dormont and the surrounding area. The camp will kick-off Sunday night, July 13 and run through Friday, July 18 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. There is a Friday Night Show highlighting the kids’ accomplishments! The camp is led by a four-member artistic team recruited from churches, colleges, universities and seminaries. Team members are college age or older and are current/previous students in performing arts. They have a desire to use their gifts to communicate the Gospel and have been selected for their Christian witness, personal discipline, dedication, enthusiasm, and positive attitudes. The Artistic Team supplies leadership in areas of music, drama, dance and technology.

There is a $25.00 fee for each participant. The normal cost is $135.00 per student but, because of a special arrangement with Lamplight Artists through our connection with Del Morgan, it has been generously reduced. On-line registration for the All About Kids Performance Camp is already available. You can access it simply by going to the event page at www.lamplightartists.com and clicking the Register Now button. We expect to have 50-75 kids involved so, enroll early! Look for more information in the near future, and also learn more at our event page.

Every blessing,
