Kim was born in Greenville, Pennsylvania. He married the former Diane Borden, June 12, 1981. They have one son, Evan. Kim received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (1979) from Youngstown State University, Youngstown, Ohio. After answering the call to ministry in 1987, he furthered his education with a Master of Divinity degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (1993) and a Doctorate of Ministry degree (2004). Kim has served as pastor of Southern Baptist Churches in Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia and most recently in Pennsylvania where he is pastor of Pittsburgh Baptist Church. In addition to his pastoral work, Kim served as Chaplain for the Montgomery Police Department, Montgomery, Alabama (1997-2000). He has served on the Board of the Georgia Baptist Children’s Homes and Family Ministries and as Moderator of the Tucker Baptist Association in Georgia. Kim has been an adjunct professor with New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where he taught spiritual formation and evangelism. He is the past President of the Pennsylvania-South Jersey Baptist Convention and past Moderator for the Baptist Association of Southwestern Pennsylvania. Pastor Bruce has been in the ministry since 1965, serving churches in New England, upstate New York, Michigan, and Iowa. Together, he and his wife have taught a number of courses for marriage and family, and also offer “Freedom in Christ” prayer counseling.
Bruce and JoAnne raised five children (two adopted with special needs) and have 16 grandchildren. Pastor Bruce enjoys travelling to see family, walking with his sheltie, gardening and sports as time allows.
Dave has been an accompanist and performer for many years in many venues. His wife and three adult children have always supported his work. He says, “Music is very close to the heart of the Lord through the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Bill Slivka is a lifelong Pittsburgh resident who was a high school seminarian. Bill was also co-publisher of The Church and Christian Support Guide with his wife Christine. Bill’s a graduate of Allegheny Community College and has owned a pizza shop, hair salon and even trained dogs.
Bill spends his free time singing and acting in various venues in the area but has found nothing as satisfying as worshiping Jesus with the people at Pittsburgh Baptist Church.
