Rev. Dr. Kim Grueser, D.Min.

Kim was born in Greenville, Pennsylvania in 1956. He married the former Diane Borden, June 12, 1981. They have one son, Evan, who is 21 years old.
Kim received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1979 from Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio. After answering the call to ministry in 1987, he furthered his education with a Master of Divinity degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 1993 and a Doctorate of Ministry degree in 2004.
Kim has served as pastor of Southern Baptist Churches in Louisiana, Alabama and Georgia before coming to Pittsburgh Baptist Church in December 2007.
In addition to his pastoral work, Kim served as Chaplain for the Montgomery Police Department, Montgomery, Alabama from 1997-2000. He served on the Board of Trustees of the Georgia Baptist Children’s Homes and Family Ministries and as moderator of the Tucker Baptist Association in Mitchell County, Georgia. He also serves as first Vice-President of the Pennsylvania/South Jersey Baptist Convention, and as volunteer Chaplain for the Dormont Fire Department.
Pastor Grueser enjoys spending time with his family, golf, reading, and exercise.
